Golfers assigned to Osan AB can look forward to playing
“The Lakes at Osan”, awarded the Best
Golf Course in PACAF for 2003 and 2007. The course
features 18 holes with a par 71, a full-service pro
shop, restaurant, lounge, driving range locker room,
and club storage facility.
This
beautiful short course presents most golfers with a
fair test of their abilities. Water comes into play
on nine of the holes and out-of-bounds is a factor on
eleven of the holes
The
pro shop is open daily and play on the course starts
between 6 and 6:30 a.m., depending on weather. A full
line of golf equipment, clothing and accessories can
be found in the pro shop. Let our professional staff
replace worn grips and shafts on your clubs. Lessons
are available from a certified teaching professional;
please check with the pro shop for prices, dates and
times.
The
driving range features:
• Thirteen covered hitting stations
• Large targets are positioned at 25-yard increments
• Range balls can be purchased with tokens from
the pro shop.
The
course also has a putting green and chipping area where
you can hone your short-game skills.
Golfers
can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the Oriental
House restaurant, attached to the clubhouse. This restaurant
features favorite American dishes as well as excellent
Korean items.
There
are 15 tournaments a year sponsored by the pro shop
including the Club Championship Tourney. Units may also
sponsor tournaments during the season. Please give the
pro shop a call for more details.
Fees
for the golf course are based on pay grade. The course
offers a daily rate, special rates for 25-round and
50- round punch cards and Twilight rates. Punch cards
can be purchased at the pro shop.
A
dress code is in effect at the golf course and Military
uniforms should not be worn on the course or practice
areas. Golf shoes are required and only soft spikes
are allowed on the course.
