When the weather finally warms up, cool down with a smooth, enjoyable river ride. Yeah right! The rivers in Korea have some truly intense rapids - some getting to Class III. Starting at the end of April and through September, Outdoor Rec lets you tackle these waters almost every weekend. The trips mainly take place on the Naerinchon River. Hope you brought a good set of boots- there is a lot to see in Korea! Hiking is a national pastime here. Outdoor Rec is also organizing monthly camping trips, which begin at the end of May. Some trips will incorporate a hike as well, though gear won't be hiked in.

Also new for 2008, Outdoor Rec is offering Scuba lessons and trips! In cooperation with a certified scuba instructor, you can learn everything you need to know to get diving! The in-class portion of the lessons start in March, which eventually lead to ocean dives in May. There will even be practice sessions held at the pools on base.
